As the Mayor of Monroe, North Carolina, I am thrilled to share some exciting news for our community. Southern Electrical Equipment Company (SEECO) has chosen Monroe as its new home, bringing with it a $10 million investment and 71 new jobs to our Monroe Corporate Center. This is a monumental win for our city, and I couldn’t be prouder to welcome SEECO to our #MonroeStrong family.
When I took office in 2023, one of my top priorities was to make Monroe a business-friendly destination—a place where companies like SEECO could see opportunity and growth. Over the past two years, we’ve worked tirelessly to showcase our city’s potential, from our strategic location to our dedicated workforce. Seeing SEECO commit to Monroe feels like a testament to that vision coming to life.
This investment isn’t just about numbers; it’s about people. The 71 new jobs mean more opportunities for our families to thrive right here at home. As a father of six and a lifelong resident of Monroe, I know how much it means to have good jobs that support our community’s heart and soul. SEECO’s arrival strengthens our economy and gives our residents a chance to build brighter futures without leaving the city we love.
Our Greater Monroe Economic Development Department played a pivotal role in making this happen, working hand-in-hand with state and local partners to show SEECO why Monroe is the perfect fit. Their dedication reflects the grit and resilience that define our city—a spirit we celebrate with #MonroeStrong. I’m grateful for their efforts and for the trust SEECO has placed in us.
